Introduction
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to learn about the polar regions and the animals that live there.
The Tasks
√ Complete the 6 activity sheets using the links below.
√ Choose a polar animal to research.
√ Use the internet and various resource books to research the questions about your chosen animal.
√ Create a poster illustrating your animal and the information you have gathered about it.
√ Present your poster to the class.

The Process
1. Print the activity sheet in each section.
2. (Keep all activity sheets and other materials for this webquest in your Arctic/Antarctic folder)
3. Follow the directions on the activity sheet.
4. When you finish an activity sheet, ask a peer to check your answers.
5. Correct all incorrect answers.
6. Go to this link and choose a polar animal to research.
7. Use the internet to find the answers to these questions about your animal.
8. Create a poster incorporating all the information you gathered.
9. Use the poster rubric to plan and score your poster project.
10. Present your poster to the class and invite the class to ask you questions.
11. You will score your work on the webquest using the Webquest rubric.

You and your teacher will evaluate your work according to two rubrics: the webquest rubric and the poster rubric. You will then discuss your scores with your teacher.
