About Me...
I went back to college in the middle of my life. Before that I made my living as a tailor. I graduated from Lee University in 2006 with a B.A. in English / Literature and a minor/endorsement in ESL. I earned a Master's degree (M.Ed.) in reading with a Reading Specialist licensure in 2015 and a doctorate degree (Ed.D) in curriculum and instruction in 2019.
I taught 8th grade Language Arts for one year but I didn't find my niche until I began teaching ESL.
I have been married to my husband Michael for 37 years. We have a daughter, Lynn, and a fur-baby named Bonnie. I live in Cleveland but I am originally from the Chicago suburbs.
(Go Cubbies!)
I am a member of the professional organization TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and I attend conferences each year in order to learn new and better ways to teach the English language.
